Havana, Cuba: Walking Around

Many people ask me what there is to do in Cuba. For me, just walking around the city and paying attention to daily life and looking for good light is enough to make every day in this incredible country worthwhile. From top to bottom, the Hotel Saratoga, one of the priciest and most desirable hotels in Havana; Margaret and a grade school teacher connect on the Prado; old-timers playing dominoes in the street.."Take all the pictures you want" they said; A parking lot attendant who invited me in to take pictures of all the cars, proudly pointing out his car to me; The Hotel Savoy, our base in Havana, a step down from previous lodging options; A view from the roof of the Hotel Parque Centrale, our previous hotel of choice, now booked into the next year(s); A man reading on the Prado; A pig ready for roasting on New Year's Eve; and Josh Miller jumping on the Malecon on our first day in Havana.
