In honor of Richard Thompson's new album "Acoustic Classics," I thought I'd post a few pictures taken back in 2008 at the Sausalito Art and Wine extravaganza. Since these kinds of summer weekend shows all over the Bay Area are free, the $10.00 admission charge tends to lead to a few things I like. One, the quality of the art is outstanding. None of the schlock one finds at the usual weekend show is allowed. Two, the quality of the entertainment is light-years ahead of the typical local fare. Three, the food choices trump the other art and wine shows. Joining Richard Thompson on the bill was Dan Hicks. Two complete sets of music for $10.00. Such a deal! Photos taken with the Nikon D90 and 18-200 Nikkor lens. Terrible lighting conditions led to some bad photographs, so I messed around in Photoshop along with various plug-ins to try to fix things a bit.
