We arrived at Milano Centrale from Venice en route to Santa Margherita. With a layover of about two hours until our train, there was time for people-watching and lunch. We stumbled upon the magnificent Bistro Centrale almost as soon as we detrained. If this place were in downtown Mountain View on restaurant row on Castro Street, I would be there every week. It was that good, not to mention exceptionally reasonable. There's something about very high ceilings that is, for me, very attractive and welcoming. The service was friendly and informal, and the place just felt right. With the high volume of traffic in Milan, I was shocked it wasn't packed. All pictures taken with my restaurant and people watching camera, the Sony RX 100.
