This portrait of my friend Nigel was taken in Cancun, Mexico, en route to Cuba in 2012. Nigel spent over an hour last night getting rid of an incredibly annoying bug on my computer. The number of times he has come over to do something similar, or to load software, or to clean up some mess I've made must run into the dozens. Yes, I fed him and his lovely wife Sue a great steak dinner, salmon, salad, dessert and more (Sue brought lots of great stuff too) still doesn't make up for my bothering him on a rather consistent basis. Thanks Nigel! I appreciate all you do. I like Sue more but you're pretty awesome. I used the Nikkor 50mm 1.8 on the Sony NEX 5n wide open to blur the background for this portrait.
