The Day After Opening Day

No, this wasn't opening day, but it was the second game of the Giant's series against the Cardinals. I got an invite from my friends the Strems to sit with them in their box. What's not to like? This day, the Giants awarded Buster Posey with the National League's Most Valuable Player trophy, and a slew of Giant's Hall of Fame players were in attendance, including Willie Mays, Willie McCovey, Jeff Kent, and Kevin Mitchell. The top photograph is of the three-fingered glove and Coca-Cola "thing" out in left field. Next is the presentation ceremony when Buster gets his award. Next is Daniel Descalso singling to center against Ryan Vogelsong. During a pitching change, the infielders converge. Since we stayed to the end of the game, the hordes trying to get to their cars had to wait awhile. And finally, since Buster got the MVP award, why not give him a Bobblehead Day as well? Thanks to Mark and Kathy Strem. Sony NEX 7 and Sony RX 100 cameras used for these pictures.
