Restaurant, Chelsea, New York

In February of 2012, Margaret and I visited her daughter and husband in New York. She took us to a great restaurant in Chelsea, near her work at Google. I had just got my new NEX 5n and was learning its tics and oddities. To the right of my table, I saw this booth. I used this photo in my class to show color, geometry, and the concept of abstract photography. There wasn't one student who could define abstract photography. They had no idea what I was talking about. (They are teenagers, you know) So, rather than try to explain it, I just showed them dozens of example. Hence, dancing to sculpture.
