Driving from our cruise ship in Saint Petersburg to the airport, I saw an Ozzie Osbourne poster. I don't know why I was surprised. In Moscow, waiting for our bus after a Kremlin tour, I espied this poster of an upcoming Leonard Cohen concert. Next to it was a Joe Cocker poster also advertising a concert. I suppose the idea of rock and roll in Russia didn't fit with my pre-conceived notions of what was allowed and what wasn't. I guess that's what happens when you let yourself fall victim to stereotypes. I thought Moscow was the bees' knees!
