These two images from Oia, Santorini, would not have been possible had we visited on a cruise ship. During midday, Oia is crawling with tourists from several ships. It is only by staying there that one can get up early enough for good light and uncrowded streets. The bottom photo was taken about 6:30 am and I was the only person walking around, the older woman excepted. I was using a Konica-Minolta with a built in 28-200 zoom which seemed like state-of-the-art at that time, in 2005.
